Mobomo partnered with the Middle East Broadcasting Networks, Inc. (MBN) to modernize its digital news infrastructure by developing Voltron, a secure, cloud-based, multi-language content management platform built on Acquia Site Factory and AWS. The unified CMS powers Alhurra Television, Radio Sawa, and MBN’s digital properties, enabling streamlined content creation, cross-organization sharing, and centralized governance. Through human-centered design, custom module development, and an enterprise-grade architecture, Mobomo delivered a scalable, award-winning platform that supports MBN’s mission to provide accurate, accessible news across the Middle East and North Africa.

Mobomo redesigned MBN’s five digital properties by creating a new information architecture, revising the taxonomy, and refreshing the user experience. Within a single calendar year, the team migrated and launched all five multilingual sites, replacing the legacy Pangea CMS and delivering a modern platform that serves audiences across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA). In addition to the site migrations, Mobomo redeveloped two mobile applications and delivered a new Drupal intranet to support internal collaboration and content management.

Mobomo leveraged VOA’s investment in the Voltron CMS to establish the foundation for MBN’s next-generation digital platform. Because Voltron already supported content types and workflows tailored to online video- and audio-centric journalism, it offered a strong starting point for MBN’s modern, user-friendly, and highly engaging properties. Our team developed automated migration scripts to transfer content from MBN’s legacy sites into the new system, accelerating development and enabling the rapid redesign and launch of all five digital properties.

The goal for this engagement was to create a clear and clean new flow for the user experience, and to ensure all design elements were consistent across all pages of the site

The Every Dose Every Day (E2D2) app is a user friendly, free app created by the CDC for people living with HIV. The purpose of the app is to provide hourly/daily/weekly reminders as necessary for taking medications, keeping track of appointments, storing lab results, and refill prescriptions for the user. The E2D2 app is secure and confidential, only storing the data in the user’s phone for their reference.
